Who Are We - WFR Relief

Why is it that many Christians seem to be drawn to help people who are deep in poverty especially when disaster hits them?  It continues to be a special blessing to me that the White's Ferry Road Church of Christ in West Monroe, Louisiana encourages me to continue doing what I love so much.  I am so very grateful for all the sweet Christians who contribute to make this ministry possible.

This month we are helping some very poor people who, we pray, are near the end of a long 2 year drought that is affecting most of East Africa.  Using several different methods of delivery and distribution we are getting food to some of the hungry, especially the children. Please read some of the reports under the 2009 Disasters directory at the left.

Who are we?  We are Christians who hold up the hands of church leaders in many parts of the world as they provide food and other vital necessities to the needy while sharing the most precious message that feeds the soul and leads us all to heaven.

As funds are available we continue to deliver food to feed the hungry in Haiti, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Zimbabwe

The White's Ferry Road Church of Christ invites you to work with us to help some of the poorest of the poor.  We work through churches of Christ in disaster areas.  We network with humanitarian organizations and ministries that, under certain conditions, help us distribute more relief supplies than just cash can deliver.

We would prefer to 'teach people to fish', but when people are starving, food is the only solution.  Will you help us?

Thanks so much,

Don Yelton
