Thirty Years of Ministry to Christians Serving in the United States Military

 The AMEN (American Military Evangelizing Nations) Ministry, under the sponsorship of the elders of the White’s Ferry Road Church of Christ in West Monroe, Louisiana, has ministered to tens of thousands of Christians in the military for nearly thirty years.  Our mission is to serve Christians in the United States Military encouraging them to evangelize their friends and plant churches where they are.  One important goal is to connect local churches of Christ near U. S. Military Installations with Christians traveling the world. We provide churches with names, addresses and personal needs of Christians moving into their area (Locator Service) through which we encourage and equip local churches to reach out to military people in their communities.

     Don Yelton was converted while serving in the Artic and baptized in a bathtub there in Greenland.  Harriet took the same Bible Correspondence Course and was baptized around the same time in 1963.  Today, they live in North Carolina where they moved to take care of aging parents.  Don and Harriet treasure their twenty-six years on active duty in the United States Air Force and every day in the AMEN Ministry;  They both believe that Americans in the military are today "a field white unto harvest".
