1.  Who in this group do you see as naturally full of compassion and why?

 

2.  Can a person be too compassionate?

 

3.  What are some things that keep us from being compassionate?

 

4.  Can we decide to be compassionate or is it just a heart thing?

 

5.  How are leprosy and sin alike? They bring death, separate us from family, cause loneliness, and are incurable. We can’t fix it ourselves; we need the touch of Jesus.

 

6.  How did Jesus show his compassion? He touched the man, verbally spoke to him, met a need, and accepted someone that others did not. He took a risk in reaching out.

 

7.  What did this man do as a result of being touched by Jesus and how do you think he felt toward Jesus?

 

8.  What happened to Jesus after this healing? And what will happen to you if you become more compassionate? It may change who you are involved with and crowd your life, but you will look more like Jesus.

 

9.  What are some things we can do to help develop compassion among ourselves and in our kids?
